Peter Chien, DDS

Dr. Peter Chien attended Villa Park High School and graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a B.S. in Biology. He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry and later worked at the LAC/USC Medical Center in Los Angeles in their Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery 1-year residency program. Dr. Chien then decided to return home and take over the family business at Yorba Linda Dental.

His unique passion for technology and dentistry has allowed him to implement the most innovative methodologies and tools at Yorba Linda Dental, while also making sure all patients are treated like family. 

In his spare time, Peter loves hiking around Los Angeles and Orange County. His favorite spots include Black Star Canyon in the Santa Ana Mountains, Crystal Cove near Laguna Beach, and Solstice Canyon in Malibu.

Kelly Lee, DDS

Dr. Kelly Lee graduated from the University of California, Davis with a B.S. in Biology and went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. Dr. Lee is a San Francisco bay area native, who has fallen in love with Yorba Linda (her husband).

Having previously worked at high-tech dental offices in Northern California, she provides a refreshingly modern outlook on how dentists can be better care providers for patients and helps ensure the best customer care policies are put into practice.

In her spare time, she enjoys visiting Disneyland with her family and friends.




Dr. Emily J. Hung earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology, 2002, from the University of California San Diego and her Doctoral degree in Dental Surgery, 2006, from the University of California Los Angeles School of Dentistry. Dr. Hung received her Master of Science degree from St. Louis University School of Orthodontics in 2008 and then went on to establish her orthodontic practice.

Along with various alumni associations, she is also a member of many professional organizations such as the American Dental Association, the California Dental association, and the American Association of Orthodontics.

During her free time Dr. Hung enjoys watching movies, bike riding, going to the beach, and traveling.

Dr. Nicole Starkey, DDS, MS

               Dr. Nicole Starkey attended the University of San Diego where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in biology and minors in both chemistry and business administration. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, she moved to Los Angeles to attend dental school at he University of Southern California, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. Upon graduation, she was accepted to USC's Graduate Orthodontics Residency Program, one of the most prestigious programs for orthodontics in the United States. After 33 months of training, Dr. Starkey received a specialty certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science degree in Craniofacial Biology.

               Dr. Starkey is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics, Orange County Dental Society, and the California Dental Association. She has successfully completed the written portion of the American Board of Orthodontics.

               When not involved with orthodontics, Dr. Starkey enjoys spending time with her husband and miniature golden retriever, hiking, and cheering on her favorite sports teams. She is excited to be part of the team at Yorba Linda Dental Center while also having a positive impact in each patient's life and smile through orthodontics.



Tina Sun, DDS

Dr. Tina Sun completed her DDS degree as well as her Periodontal and Implant Surgical training at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, where she currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor. She is also presently a member of the California Society of Periodontists and American Academy of Periodontology.

As a Periodontist, Dr. Sun educates her patients on the importance of periodontal health, as periodontics is the key and foundation to all other aspects of dentistry. Without healthy gums, other fields of dentistry would be impossible. Dr. Sun appreciates and understands that periodontal surgery requires a fine combination of engineering skills, perceptions of beauty, and problem solving abilities. With great passion, Dr. Sun carefully plans and carries out the treatment course for each of her patients with the goal of creating beautiful and healthy gums.


Kathryn Le, DDS


Doctor Kathryn Le is a graduate of the Dental Anesthesiology Program at Loma Linda University, a two-year post-doctoral residency. Her extensive training at the Veterans Affairs Loma Linda Health Care System, Riverside County Regional Medical Center and Loma Linda Medical Center provided her with invaluable experience in cardiology, internal medicine, and medical anesthesiology.

Doctor Le is a member of the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists, the International Anesthesia Research Society, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Orange County Dental Society. She is also certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
